Novelties on the Museumplein

Mila Nikolić | 7 September 2015

The weekend of 5-6th September on Amsterdam Museumplein was marked by the opening of the new entrance to Van Gogh Museum. If you ever felt there was something amiss with Kisho Kurokava’s wing, now, hopefully, Hans van Heeswijk Architects are making it right, turning the museum’s orientation towards the square.

But first, for this special occasion, the audience was supposed to find the entrance – through a sunflower labyrinth!

And when they saw it all: the entrance, the museum, the paintings, the square, the rain, visitors could take Van Gogh’s flowers home.
